Volkswagen Polo in Criccieth Gwynedd
Smarter and more striking than ever, the Polo is proof that the best things come in small packages. It’s loaded with premium segment technology like The Digital Cockpit, IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights and Park Assist which steers into spaces for you. Power comes from a 1.0 TSI engine with up to 108bhp and an optional DSG gearbox. From 2022, the Polo GTI will return with a 2.0 TSI engine for wicked performance.
Trim levels include Life, Style and R-Line. R-Line models wear a sports styling kit with 16” alloy wheels and get IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights. Features in the range include adaptive cruise control and IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist, which steers, brakes and accelerates automatically on request. A panoramic tilt and slide sunroof, Discover Pro with a 10.25” touchscreen, voice control and wireless charging are also available.
Design
Fresh bumpers, LED headlights and a Golf-like taillight design with optional dynamic indicators give the Polo the stature of a bigger car. The interior is more digitised than ever, with the Digital Cockpit and an 8” or 10.25" touchscreen.
Drive
The Polo is powered by a 1.0 TSI engine with 94bhp or 108bhp paired to a manual or DSG gearbox. The 108bhp engine has a DSG gearbox as standard. Driving aids include Side Assist lane change, Park Assist, ACC and IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist.
Practicality
The Polo’s 351-litre boot and generous rear legroom make it a great choice as a runabout and as a small family car. The rear seats split-fold 60-40. There’s a central armrest, big door bins and enough space to stay comfy on longer journeys.
Living with it
With Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, voice control, wireless charging, climate control, the Digital Cockpit and self-driving technology with IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist, the Polo is a pleasure to live with.
